Delta Airlines to resume Bucharest-New York cargo flights
Delta Airlines will resume as of June 2nd, 2009, the non-stop cargo flight between Bucharest and New York, the company reports. This flight will significantly improve cargo transport between Romania and the US, offering a non-stop connection and an expanded transport network on the US territory and outside it, thanks to the Delta Airlines' strong hub operations of on the JFK Airport of New York.
Delta's cargo services in Romania are exclusively represented by Sky-XS, the Sales and General Services Agent of the company. Through proactive sales and marketing initiatives, Sky-XS , also in charge with Delta's cargo sales in Hungary, is in charge with the cargo capacity of the Boeing 767-300 aircraft Delta holds in Romania.
Helena Haubova, Delta Cargo sales regional director, said she was delighted to resume the cargo service on the Bucharest-New York route and grant a transport capacity of 20 tons each week. At the same time, she explained, they made sure deliveries are made to Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, LA, Detroit and Mexico City.
