TotalSoft planning to open Austrian subsidiary by year-end

Software solutions producer TotalSoft intends to open a subsidiary in Austria, its first in a Western market, by the end of this year, the company's marketing and strategy director Daniel Ionescu said recently.

'Austria is of strategic importance to us because we can thus supply German language markets such as Denmark, Poland, Germany. This is a culture we understand, and the contract with OMV is a major reference for the Austrian market. We try to define our international development strategy by building a standard account solution, ie we will go to the markets where the account is running operations. We don't do market, but account localization and in Austria we already have many important references and accounts,' explained the TotalSoft director.

The investment on the Austrian market is estimated at 300,000 euros in the first year after opening, and representatives consider it carries strategic importance because of the presence here of major TotalSoft customers.

'We have four major customers here - Paribas, Deutsche Leasing, Raiffeisen Leasing and OMV - and I think this is a good opportunity to strengthen our presence there,' said the TotalSoft marketing and strategy director.

General manager Liviu Dragan also pointed out that in 2011 the company has strengthened its strategic partnerships on the Austrian market with Paribas, Deutsche Leasing and Raiffeisen, because they will impose the Charisma solution throughout Europe. (Charisma is a software suite that includes integrated systems that are widely known at regional and even global level, such as Charisma ERP, Charisma HCM or Charisma Medical Software).

'Due to these customers, Charisma is the solution that will be imposed throughout Europe, Spain and Austria included. No local provider from Poland or the Czech Republic has so far sought regional expansion to this area,' said Dragan.

He also referred to the project jointly carried out with Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) in Saudi Arabia, a highlight in Total Soft's project management activities, which is the more so important as there are many providers of such solutions in the region. 'A project implemented with the largest oil company in Saudi Arabia means a lot of visibility in the area,' added the TotalSoft head.

TotalSoft Company has been operational in Romania since 1995, becoming one of the leaders of the local IT industry in the development and supply of complex business solutions and services. With a portfolio of 1,500 clients in private and public sectors in 22 countries that include the U.S., Germany, UK, Italy or France, TotalSoft is an expert in fields like: finance-banking, retail, distribution, retail, utilities, constructions, design, production, services or public administration, Agerpres reports.
