Royal Family spends Christmas at Savarsin castle

The members of the Romanian Royal Family spend Christmas at the castle at Savarsin, a village located on the Mures Valley, in Arad County (western Romania).

Former sovereign of Romania King Mihai I, Queen Ana, Princess Margareta, Prince Radu and Prince Nicolae are going to spend here both Christmas and the New Year's Eve.

Radu Ghina, head of the press office of King Mihai I, said on Thursday that the first groups of Christmas waits from the Fine Arts High School of Timisoara (western Romania) and from the village of Apateu, Arad County, arrived at the castle on Wednesday to sing carols to the Royal Family.

According to the above-mentioned source, on Thursday, His Majesty King Mihai welcomed the delegation of the Friends of King Mihai Association of Arad, and on Friday, together with Princess Margareta, he will offer presents to some needy families at Savarsin.

On Friday too, the members of the Royal Family will welcome several groups of Christmas waits, after which they will offer Christmas presents to the employees and to people they worked with.

On the second Christmas day, the Royal Family will participate in the morning in the Christmas service at the Orthodox Church of Savarsin, Agerpres informs.
