Romania will sell military technique of 127 million dollars

Romania will sell military technique and armament worth approximately 127 million dollars as there are contracts signed or under the process of being signed with two countries in the EU and a country in the Middle East, according to Mediafax. The manager of the National Company Romarm Vasile Crisan stated that Romania will sell in the period to come military technique to two countries of the EU as there are contracts worth 40 and 17 million dollars, so that in almost two months there should be finalised the details of a third contract with a country in the Middle East which would mean an export of almost 70 million dollars.

Crisan said that for the three orders there should work eight production units of Romarm, among which the two production companies in Cugir, Alba county. He said that among the products in this order there will be AKM, 7.62 mm caliber, produced in Cugir. Asked where Romania delivers at present military technique and armament Vasile Crisan said that 95% of the contracts with foreign clients are for the American market.
According the quoted source, the Romanian armament company has under analysis ten important contracts, among which seven with Middle East countries.
He said that until now two contracts with two countries of the EU were signed, and other three are under analysis, and one with a country in the Middle East which is almost finalised.
The National Company Romarm has 16 production units of military technique, weapons and ammunition with almost 5,000 employees.
