Managers estimate growth in industry and stability in constructions and trade

Company managers expect over February-April, a moderate growth of activity in the processing industry and stability in constructions, trade and retail services, compared to the one obtained three months ago, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). The conclusions were obtained by means of conjuncture research, following estimates made by managers about tendencies of economic activity.

Thus, in the processing industry managers foresee a moderate increase of output level in the next three months (+12%).For certain activities there will be a growing tendency as concerns output estimates – manufacture of road transport vehicles and trailers (+38%) and the manufacture of rubber and plastic products (+ 32%).

For prices of industrial products there will be a moderate increase (+6%). The number of employees will be relatively stable (+1%) in the processing industry.In constructions the anticipated tendency is of stability in production volume (+2%) and of the number of contracts and orders (-1%).

Managers estimate a moderate drop of the number of employees (-11%).As for prices of construction works, there will be relative stability (+3%).In retail trade managers estimate a relative stability of economic activity in the next three months (-4%) and of the overall volume of goods (-2%).

Employers estimate a moderate advance of the number of employees (+7%) and of the volume of orders addressed by commercial units to the suppliers of goods (+6%).Managers of commercial companies estimate that retail sale prices will record growths (+21%).

The demand for services will also know relative stability (+2%). In this sector a relative stability of the number of employees is estimated (+1%).According to the managers’ opinion, sales prices for services will have a tendency of moderate growth (+6%).
