MAE recommends that Romanian citizens in Russia leave the area as soon as possible
In the context of the recent evolutions in the Russian Federation, including as a result of the announcement of 21st September 2022 regarding partial mobilisation as well as a result of the public messages sent by the ministry of foreign affairs (MAE) since February this year, MAE says:
- The MAE recalls and reiterates with insistence the recommendations addressed to Romanian citizens since February to avoid non-essential travel to the Russian Federation, and those who are temporarily in this country to consider leaving the territory of the Russian Federation as soon as possible.
- At the same time, MAE recommends the Romanian citizens present on the territory of the Russian Federation to show increased attention, avoid places where public gatherings or large crowds of people are present and do not engage in any protests or other demonstrations that may generate street violence.
- Similarly, MAE reiterates the recommendation addressed to the Romanin citizens previously which are on the territory of the Russian Federation to register their presence on www.econsular.ro, http://www.econsulat, available both on PC and laptop, as well as on the mobile phone.
