Japanese companies want to invest in Romania

Several Japanese companies have announced their intention to invest in Romania mainly in agriculture and environment, Natsuo Ameniya, Japan’s ambassador in Romania told Mediafax Agency.
“Many Japanese companies are interested in investing in environment and agriculture in Romania. Most Japanese investments are now in the field of auto parts,” Ameniya said.He would not name the interested companies but said some of them had already contacted the embassy in Romania. “I hope some projects will be completed in 2011,” the ambassador added. He said there are 17 manufacturing companies and 25 factories in Romania with over 20,000 employees. “If we consider other fields too there are about 190 Japanese companies in Romania,” Ameniya added.
