Eurostat: Romania, second lowest compensation for employees in EU

Romania and Bulgaria recorded the lowest hourly earning in the European Union in 2017, the highest being in Luxembourg, Denmark and Belgium, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, shows. Thus, last year, the compensation of employee received by hour worked in 2017 was on average EUR 23.1 in EU and EUR 26.9 in the euro area.
