Development Ministry signs three contracts of over 2 million euros for cooperation projects with Ukraine and Republic of Moldova

The Development Ministry signed on Tuesday three financing contracts with an overall value of 2 million euros, as part of the territorial cooperation programs  Romania-Ukraine and Romania-Moldova, for the modernization of the emergency medical system, the purchase of equipment for emergency intervention and the efficiency of the labor market, a press release shows. 


The project 'Emergency children care in Romania-Ukraine cross border area', of 1,321,412 euros has the Clinical Hospital for Children in Cernauti as beneficiary  and the the County Emergency Hospital “St John the New”of Suceava as partner.

The project “Integrated value chain to improve labor market”, worth 355,470 euros, has Ialoveni Regional Council of Moldova as beneficiary and Technical University Gheorghe Asachi of Iasi and EDINFO Foundation of Iasi as partners.


 According to the source, its objective have in view regional and cross border cooperation to adapt school curricula followed by students for their preparation for realities in the labor market. The implementation of the project will influence the career of at least 250 school students and 100 college students from both countries, with the help and involvement of at least 80 parents and 30 teaching staff.


Training courses and workshops will be organized in the two partner states to better know activities of economic agents in the area and their needs concerning the labor market.


Within the cooperation program Romania-Moldova, the development minister signed the contract about “Improving the quality and capacity of joint emergency actions in the cross border area,” worth 325,000 euros, having as beneficiary the Inter-community Development Association Euronest and Ungheni Regional Council in Moldova as partner.


The project includes investments for specialty equipment for interventions in emergency situations to equip the Department for Emergency situations Ungheni , joint actions for flood prevention, the afforestation of Prut and Siret river banks, fighting flood effects, campaigns encouraging volunteering and involvement in prevention actions.
