Ford finances five new programmes for social entrepreneurship for the community in Craiova

Five new programmes for social entrepreneurship for the community in Craiova will be developed by Ford Motor Company Fund in the Centre for Resources and Employment Ford in Craiova (CRAF) inaugurated in October 2018, announced on Friday the auto constructor in a press release.

According to the company representatives, the five winning projectes, which will receive grants with a value between 15,000 and 30,000 dollars to be developed are: Ebis Clus – the setting up of a platform-centre for renting bicycles and electrical scooters on the basis of a quick and user-friendly app, EduMix 100 – consultancy services for mixed learning, digital learning and creation of digital contents, Furnix – centre for reconditioning and personalization of furniture parts and workshops for children, Germiplants – greenhouse for production of aromatic and medicinal plants as well as Good Will – centre for therapy through art ( dance, music, theatre, picture workshops) which proposes to develop the creativity of the children and young people, facilitating social inclusion of those coming from troubled environment, with disabilities, or members of ethnic minorities.
Over 70 students will collaborate to implement the projects in the Centre for Resources and Employment Ford.

CRAF Craiova represents an investment of four million dollars from Ford Motor Company Fund which collaborates with its international partner which offers Global Giving grants.

The centre is a collaboration with the Association for Education SV Oltenia (EDUCOL) a non-profit local organization which tries to maximize the opportunities for training, development and employment for young people, together with the Craiova TownHall which offers the building.
