Booking Holdings to invest 100 million euros, in five years, in first Excellence Center opened in Bucharest

Booking Holdings, the largest global provider of online tourist services and related services, inaugurated the first Excellence Center in Bucharest, an investment estimated at 100 million euros over a period of five years, through which it aims to create 500 jobs in this period.

Booking Holdings' new Excellence Center currently supports cyber security and fraud monitoring operations, IT infrastructure and procurement analysis, with new capabilities to be added throughout this year and in 2023 in other areas, including Data Governance, FinTech and marketing.

"The center occupies an entire floor and offers a flexible and inclusive workplace experience. The theme and design concepts, developed by Gensler, draw on elements from different cultures and regions around the world to evoke the spirit of travel and diversity that guides the Booking Holdings community. Traditional fabrics and materials from Romania have been used in the meeting rooms and common spaces, with a color palette inspired by the different Booking Holdings brands. The diversity of the spaces - from modern collaboration areas to individually furnished workspaces for a hybrid working style - reflects the Center's role as a global talent hub, which facilitates interactions, collaboration and continuous innovation between colleagues and brands, being an essential element of Booking Holdings' mission to support all those who want to discover the world,", reads a press release of Booking Holdings.

Currently, the Center has a complete management team and over 150 employees in various positions, supporting several brands, and the partnership with Infosys aims to increase the number of Booking Holdings' own employees.

Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG) is the largest global provider of online travel and related services available to consumers and local partners in more than 220 countries and territories through six core brands: Booking.com, Priceline, Agoda, Rentalcars.com, Kayak and OpenTable.

Booking Holdings Romania is an Excellence Center based in Bucharest, which was created to support the Booking Holdings brands as business requirements grow.
