PNL requires the suspension of Monica Iacob Ridzi and Roberta Anastase

The National Liberal Party requires the head of state to suspend Monica Iacob Ridzi from her position as minister of youth and sports and the PDL to dismiss Roberta Anastase from the leadership of the Deputies’ chamber the prim-vicechairman Ludovic Orban announced on Monday. « Nobody is above the law. We require Traian Basescu to suspend Monica Iacob Ridzi from her position as minister” Ludovic Orban said, adding that “ Mrs.Ridzi tries escape responsibility after spending public money immorally, under the conditions where there are real problems as regards the payment of the teachers’ salaries”. Ludovic Orban’s statements come after the minister of youth and sports Monica Iacob Ridzi required the parliament to consider the closure of the parliamentary inquiry, as a result of the starting of judicial procedures by DNA on June 23rd to verify the sums spent on the occasion of “ the Day of Youth”. The liberals require the dismissal of the Deputies’ Chamber speaker Roberta Anastase whom they accuse of obstructing justice in the Nastase file.
