Code Yellow, Code Orange alert of snowfalls, blizzards in southeastern Romania

The forecasters have extended the Code Yellow and Code Orange alerts of heavy snowfalls, blizzards and freezing temperatures for the southeastern counties of Constanta and Tulcea till Friday at noon.Thus, there will be a Code Yellow alert over Jan. 26, 6 p.m. - Jan. 27, 12 p.m. in southeastern Romania, where it will continue to snow, though not heavily and the wind will blow in gusts of up to 60 km per hour.
The National Forecaster has also extended the Code Orange alert for the counties of Constanta and Tulcea over the same period, with gusts of wind being expected at more than 70-80 kmph, thus making visibility difficult and drifting the snow.
'Snowfalls will abate by the beginning of February, but below-freezing temperatures will continue. Temperatures will be as low as now, i.e. from minus 15 Celsius degrees at night to minus 5 degrees at day,' forecaster Ion Sandu said.
