Turkey wants more bilateral agreements with Romania and Bulgaria Turkey intends to propose several agreements to Romania and Bulgaria with the purpose “ to improve bilateral relations”, the Turkish premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated in an interview offered to Al-Jazeera, Today’s Zaman relates in its electronic edition. Asked about the agreements signed by Turkey with Siria, Iraq and Russia representing an alternative to the European Union, Erdogan said that they “ had not relation to the EU”. “ We intend to make similar proposals to Romania and Bulgaria. Our negotiations aim at the improvement of bilateral relations. They will represent a contribution to our economy. On the other hand, Turkey will consolidate their position the moment when they become member state of the European Union”, he explained.
