Bird flu prevention bill

Health Ministry and National Sanitary Veterinary Authority will conduct a project on the preventing and fighting bird flu spreading funded by a 29.6 million-euro credit granted by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).Romania contributes 7.9 million euros to the project.The Government, at a Wednesday meeting, passed the bill on the ratification of the accord Romania and IBRD signed in this respect. The bill aims at curbing the threat of the highly pathogenic bird flu and other bacterial, viral, etc. contagious infections, common both to humans and to animals.
